As we farewelled the Class of 2025 at the end of Term 3, we were invited to pause, reflect, and celebrate the final chapter of their journey. With HSC and IB exams complete, Year 12 embraced a week that truly honoured who they are as a cohort.
Head of Year 12, Olivia McAtamney, reflects on the celebrations:
“Fun, laughter, and tears – Celebration Week captured the vibrant and spirited nature of the Class of 2025. We began with our first House Farewell Afternoon Tea, where personalised gifts, performances, and games ensured every girl felt seen and celebrated.
Monday brought the Year 12 Pockets and Special Awards Assembly, followed by the Boarders and Parents Farewell Dinner – a reminder of the strength, warmth, and leadership our boarders bring to the school.
Festival Day was pure joy. The Soubeiran erupted in colour as students arrived in their embellished dresses, before Mentor groups lit up the stage with their one-minute ‘Grad Groove’ performances. With trivia, a student-led ‘Rave Cave’, and a picnic on the oval complete with races and bubble soccer, it was a day we will long remember.
Wednesday was the most moving moment of the week. A whole-school Guard of Honour welcomed Year 12 to their Valedictory Assembly, where heartfelt speeches and the cohort’s touching performance of Vienna brought the community together.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this week so special. It was a powerful affirmation of Year 12 and their motto, Unite to Ignite.
Congratulations, Class of 2025 – your legacy will continue to shine.”
