AND POSITIVE relationships.

Our experiential and service learning programs across both the Junior and Senior School are designed to promote a sense of interest and exploration, helping girls understand themselves and others better, while learning how to contribute and lead.

Costs relating to the year group camps and compulsory activities are covered in the consolidated fixed charge outlined in the fee schedule.

Camps in the Junior School are designed to unite the girls to help nurture friendships and experiences. They are short in duration, highly engaging and offer a great opportunity to take part in many experiential activities across NSW.

One-night sleepover at Kambala to prepare the girls for their transition to Year 3, to the EJ Watt Building.

One-night experience to Rathane in the Royal National Park NSW

Two-night experience to Milson Island, Milsons Passage NSW

Two-night experience Gerringong, NSW

A three-day two-night excursion to Canberra and a three-night experience at Somerset in the Colo River

These mandatory student experiences complement the competencies fostered in our pastoral care program, with a specific emphasis on Years 7 to 10.

Year 7

Camp: Two night experience - Vision Valley NSW

We offer Outdoor Education Experiences (OEE) aimed at fostering self-exploration, building positive relationships, and developing leadership skills in an outdoor setting.

These experiences provide students with the opportunity to connect with nature, engage in teamwork, and overcome challenges outside of the traditional classroom environment. Activities include surfing, canoeing, coastal hikes, and star gazing. A bushland regeneration session is conducted as part of a community service activity. Activities are modified by staff to ensure that all students can be included. Girls are also highly involved in the preparation and cooking of their meals. No electronics – including mobile phones – are allowed on this experience.

Program: Challenge & Curiosity Days and Community Day

Exploring challenge and curiosity and how these values can be transformative. Activities are planned with the aim of students developing communal identity, focus and communication skills.

Year 8

Camp: Three night experience - South Coast NSW

We offer Outdoor Education Experiences (OEE) aimed at fostering self-exploration, building positive relationships and developing leadership skills in an outdoor setting. Year 8 students will be physically challenged through a variety of activities that aim to further develop teamwork, determination and a greater appreciation of the outdoor environment.

Service Learning Experience Program: Kids Giving Back

Our students participate in structured activities designed to help those in need. Activities include one day off site preparing meals, making toys for children and assembling toiletry packs for those in need.

Year 9

Camp: 8 night Red Earth experience- Cape York, Queensland

The Year 9 camp offers a distinctive service-learning experience, focusing on cultural immersion within Indigenous homelands. This unique opportunity allows girls to engage with Indigenous Australians who have a profound connection to their land’s culture and history.

Throughout the camp, students learn from Elders and Traditional Owners, interact with young Indigenous children, and participate in community service projects. One of the key aims is for the cohort to raise funds for the community-led projects they will be working on during their experience in Cape York.

Service Learning Experience Program: Kids Giving Back continued

Our students continue their participation in structured activities designed to help those in need. Activities include puppet making for sick children and constructing activity packs for the Starlight Foundation. Activities are held on and off-site.

Year 10

Camp: Three night experience- Vision Valley NSW

Students participate in an outdoor education program that complements their focus on future pathways and readiness for the next phase of academic challenges. Through outdoor education experiences and targeted programs, students not only strengthen their resilience and teamwork skills but also explore potential career paths, academic pursuits and leadership. This holistic approach ensures that students are well-prepared for the transition to senior years and empowered to navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Service Learning Experience Program: Our Big Kitchen

Our students spend a day at Our Big Kitchen and also take part in activities in preparation for the new Year 7 cohort for the following year.

Year 11

Retreat with Principal, Jane Danvers

Year 11 students travel to Collaroy where the cohort undertakes a program that focuses on developing leadership, team building, strengthening the identity of the Cohort and preparing for the future. Students will also be armed with a variety of skills and tools to help them navigate the next two years of senior education.
