Alliances

Kambala Our advantage Alliance Hero

Forming partnerships and alliances with like-minded schools and institutions ensures we remain up to date with current trends and that our commitment to best practice translates to innovative, research-informed teaching.

We are continually searching for ways to cater for the rapidly evolving educational needs of our students, and this has a particularly pertinent place in single-sex schools. As part of our KITE initiative to ensure teaching excellence across the School, we have embraced Action Research through our support of the ICGS (International Coalition for Girls’ Schools) Global Action Research Collaborative on Girls’ Education and our own research alliance with Ruyton Girls’ School, Melbourne.

International Coalition of Girls' Schools

ICGS Founding member
The International Coalition of Girls’ Schools (ICGS) is the leading global advocate for girls’ schools. Our membership significantly enhances our approach to cultivating personal achievement, community-centred leadership and global citizenship.

The rich resources and collaborative network of the ICGS enable us to further develop our teaching and learning environment, one that enables every girl to find her own voice, comprehend her individual value and capabilities, follow her ambitions and, through this, know in herself that she is remarkable in the making.

The coalition provides unique opportunities to connect with other schools worldwide, facilitating cultural exchanges and collaborative projects. These global connections allow our girls to engage with diverse perspectives and experiences, further enriching their understanding and preparing them to be active participants in a global society.

Principal, Jane Danvers sits on the ICGS Board of Directors, further cementing our international relationship. She attends many of the conferences along with selected staff to ensure we are united in elevating women’s leadership worldwide by educating and empowering our girls to be ethical, globally minded changemakers.

KITE Research Collective

Kambala joins with Ruyton Girls’ School, another leading girls school in Australia, to drive research in the area of girls’ education.

Our research program sees our teachers investigate best practice in teaching and learning frameworks for girls within their own classrooms, contributing to the knowledge base surrounding education in single-sex schools.

Action research academics from the University of Sydney work closely alongside the teachers as Academic Mentors offering their expert knowledge and understanding of action to enable our teacher researchers to engage in a rigorous and accurate data-collection and reflection process.
