Dr Coupland is a highly skilled secondary and tertiary educator in Mathematics. She is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Technology, Sydney after having been Director of the Mathematics and Science Study Centre there for 13 years. As a consultant Dr Coupland contributes to syllabus development for the NSW Education Standards Authority and has been an advisor to the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority regarding the Australian Curriculum.
