Why a girls’ school?
Evidence-based outcomes
There is strong evidence that girls’-only education leads to higher academic achievement, greater diversity of subject choice, stronger self-confidence and resilience, and enhanced career progression.
Excellent schools encourage and support their students to realise their potential, and they are designed to equip them for success and fulfilment in the world beyond. Kambala is founded on the principle that these aims are best achieved by educating girls independently of boys.
Girls achieve more when they are given their own dedicated space in which to develop, and:
- are less likely to conform to a gender stereotype
- are less constrained in their choice of subjects
- show a greater propensity to take risks and innovate
- perform better in examinations
- have more opportunities to show leadership, and
- are more successful in the job market.

Recognising and realising potential
We firmly believe in the potential of every girl and we strive to equip them with the skills and knowledge for a successful adulthood through evidence-informed teaching.
We develop the capacity of our girls to become exceptional thinkers, and our approach empowers them to take charge of their own learning journey, fostering curiosity and the ability to excel in any field. They can take risks, explore their capabilities, and actively engage in their learning journey—a key reason why girls’ schools are so effective.
We set high expectations, purposefully so, offering ample support, tailored to each girl’s needs, to ensure they reach their full potential. There are no boundaries to what our girls can achieve; we provide them with the tools to chart their own path.
