Taylor Hammond – The Halo Effect – Senior School Production

Taylor Hammond, our very own Year 11 boarder, took part in The Halo Effect written especially for Kambala by Catherine Zimdahl.

The play “The Halo Effect” centres around Holly Tristamere, a troublemaker whose legendary summer parties take a dramatic turn when she experiences a vision of a Great Lady. Holly convinces her friends Michelle and Chloe of the vision’s reality, leading to a surge of seekers and opportunists flooding their town. Amidst the chaos, Holly navigates a tumultuous relationship with Jake, a man striving to escape his violent past. As the town faces potentially dangerous consequences, Holly must confront her own destructiveness to restore order. The play blends humour and emotion, exploring the allure of supernatural apparitions.

As part of the ensemble team, throughout the performance Taylor sang, danced and had many lines to recite. With many weeks of preparation, Taylor was extremely excited to show her fellow peers the hard work which had gone into performance preparation. In light of supporting Taylor, the auditorium was packed with both boarders and boarding staff members who were extremely impressed and proud of their fellow boarder. Overall, her performance saw a very loud and special boarders standing ovation in celebration of her amazing efforts.
