Southern Rebels Touch

Congratulations to our Senior A players Year 9 Margot Hindmarsh (Under 16) and Touch Captain Polly Roche (Under 18) on their selection in the Southern Rebels squads for the NSW Junior Regional Championships. Players are selected to play for their regions after posting great performances at the NSW State Cup. Margot and Polly played for Eastern Suburbs Roosters and excelled in their respective teams.

Tildesley Shield: Kambala finishes 4th place

The prestigious Tildesley Shield tournament was held last Wednesday and Thursday at Pennant Hills Park Tennis Centre. This year we had 12 girls competing: 6 girls in the singles rounds and 6 girls in the double’s rounds.

Day 1 saw our 6 singles players compete and all of them did extremely well. Mila Duchen Chloe Myers made it to the 4th round, and Mila Duchen and Claire-Elyse Waked made it to the 5th round and Arabella Bugden made it to the 6th round, narrowly missing out on the quarter finals.

Day 2 we watched our doubles players compete and they also did so well. At the end of the tournament we finished in 4th spot, only 1 point off 3rd place!

Well done to all of the girls competing and to the reserves who spent the two days cheering and supporting all of the players. There was a great atmosphere at the venue, and we are already looking forward to next year!

Arabella Bugden progresses to NSWCIS Tennis Team

A big congratulations to Arabella Bugden who has advanced to the NSWCIS Tennis team! It has been a very successful few weeks for Arabella at Tennis and we are very proud of all of her achievements.
