Kambala is delighted to announce that Head of Year and Global Politics and History Teacher, Paige Zavaglia, has been appointed to the newly created role of Head of Wellbeing Curriculum, commencing Term 1, 2026.
This new position reflects Kambala’s deep commitment to supporting the wellbeing, personal growth, and leadership development of every girl throughout her Senior School journey. The Head of Wellbeing Curriculum is responsible for designing and implementing a cohesive pastoral care program that responds to the evolving needs of young women in today’s complex and rapidly changing world.
Working closely with the Pastoral Team, Ms Zavaglia will ensure that wellbeing programs are contemporary, research-informed, and tailored specifically to girls. The curriculum will also remain closely aligned with the School’s Philosophy of Dispositional Learning, helping students develop the skills, resilience, and self-awareness needed to thrive both at school and beyond.
In addition to curriculum development, the role supports student voice and leadership through mentorship of student-led initiatives such as Sisterhood Circles, the GirlUp Club, and the Athena Circle. These programs provide meaningful opportunities for students to connect, support one another, and grow as compassionate, globally minded leaders.
Grounded in the School’s values of Humanity, Courage, Curiosity, and Respect, this new role ensures that wellbeing education at Kambala remains proactive, purposeful, and responsive to the challenges and opportunities facing young women today.
