What are we constructing?
The new development will deliver a range of high-quality, purpose-built facilities for students and staff, including:
A Multi-Purpose Sports Hall and Auditorium with indoor courts, tiered seating, fitness zones, and change rooms
A rooftop sports field with access infrastructure
- General learning areas, staff facilities, and student amenities
- Excavation and civil works, including new pavements, stormwater infrastructure, and landscaping
Preparing for construction
Prior to commencing construction, Kambala and its appointed contractor will prepare a series of construction and environmental management plans as required by the development approval.
These plans are designed to ensure a safe, well-organised and environmentally responsible construction process.
Community Engagement and Consultation
Development Status
Since 2021, Kambala has been planning the development of a new Multi-purpose Auditorium and Sports Precinct to support the School’s commitment to learning, wellbeing and sport. The original proposal was approved under a State Significant Development Application (SSD 10385), and following a review of the design and staging, a modification was submitted and approved in late 2023 to refine the project.
Construction of the first stage of the Multi-Purpose Auditorium and Sports Precinct will soon commence. This will include the creation of indoor multi-purpose courts with spectator seating, rooftop sports fields, dance and fitness studios, general learning areas, and staff facilities. The project also includes landscaping works and upgrades to outdoor spaces that will enhance the daily experience for students and the broader school community.
